Finally Growing Season
Less than a month ago we had our second snow day of a never ending winter and we had our last measurable snowfall just a couple of weeks ago . Yesterday it hit 90+ degrees here in Minnesota, yet some lakes a little further north of us still have ice on them.
Needless to say it's hard to get into the gardening mode again when there is snow in May. I haven't blogged since last fall either. I did have my hibiscus shown as part of a gardening segment on a local TV station this winter. Two seconds of fame!
I started spring cleaning tonight after a quick trip to a local garden center after work. I did the garage side of house and the front gardens. There's still a lot of gardens left to clear but it's a start. 15 more school days before I have much more time to spend in the garden so I'll work on them when I can.
More regular posts to come!
