July Bloom Day (a day late)

It's the second most wonderful time of the year. Christmas is still the most wonderful time and I celebrated Christmas in July with Hallmark's ornament debut weekend and holiday movies on the Hallmark channel last week. Anyway, I love this time of the year when the garden is in full growing mode and full of beautiful blooms.
First the highlights of perennials blooming this month:

Trumpet flowered gallardia

Quickfire hydrangea

Visions in Red astilbe

Star hydrangea

Invincibelle Spirit hydrangea(a little flopped from storms we've had recently)

William Baffin rose-still my favorite with blooms all summer

love this area of my deck garden with Bloomstruck hydrangea, Candy Cat catmint, blue Glitter sea holly, and a hardy lavender

new Musicbox rose

a painted lady on the coneflowers

part of the B, B and B garden(butterfly, bee and bird)

Lovely milkweed-the monarch caterpillars love it too

oldest flower in my gardens, an old double daylily

Summerwind daylily

daylily row along fence

Blackberry Candy

Potosi

Hyperion and Chicago Arnie's Choice
Raspberry Pixie

Pink Lemonade honeysuckle

Karl Forrester grass

The fairy fun garden (some of the hosta roots were damaged by digging critters last fall and winter)

So many blooms but wait there's more. Here's the annuals:

Scaevola- fan flower, a non stop bloomer

           New fountain and annuals
begonia I've had for several years now

          Love my fuchsias!
pink Portulaca-all star bloomer

Raspberry Ice boganvillea- new this year, will winterover in the house

Terracotta Crazytunia-second year buying this, great bloomer and unique colors

Twister Red verbena

Water hyacinth and tiny Siberian pink cups in water garden

Hope everyone is enjoying this growing season wherever you are. Thanks to Carol at May Dreams gardens for hosting bloom day.
